Inspired by:
- regular calculations of the consumer basket of the Confederation of Autonomous Trade Unions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, we quote:
“The trade union consumer basket calculated by the Confederation of Autonomous Trade Unions of Bosnia and Herzegovina for November 2024 is 3,107.50 KM.
The SSSBiH states that the average salary paid in the Federation of BiH for September 2024 was 1,369 KM (the latest data published by the Federal Institute of Statistics), and that the minimum salary according to the Decision of the Government of the Federation of BiH is 619 KM.
The coverage of the trade union consumer basket by the average salary is 44.05 percent, and the coverage by the minimum salary is 19.92 percent.
When creating the trade union consumer basket, the average salary paid in the Federation of BiH was taken into account, as well as the minimum living expenses of a four-member family consisting of two adults and two children, one of whom is in high school and the other in elementary school.
The consumer basket itself consists of food (44.17%), housing and communal services (13.95%), hygiene and health maintenance (9.12%), education and culture (10.30%), clothing and footwear (11.58%), transport (4.44%), and household maintenance (6.44%)….”, - regular statistical publications of the Pension and Disability Insurance Institute on the amount of pensions, attached,
- regular annual financial statistics published by the FIA FBiH, especially the statistics “Basic business indicators for all companies for area G – Wholesale and retail trade…”, according to which the net profit before tax of some of our retail chains is twice as high as in developed EU countries,
- and finally the boycott actions that were launched in the Republic of Croatia and transferred to BiH,
we have decided to contribute to controlling the costs of food and hygiene in our households.
We present to you a tool with which you will be able to find more favorable prices, create shopping lists and control costs.
If you have relatives who receive a minimum or lower pension and are not skilled in using new tools, we hope that you will show solidarity with them and help them save a few marks.
We hope that we will encourage some of our hard-working owners of large retail chains to think about trade margins, at least on basic groceries, and lower them according to their capabilities.
In order to ensure the long-term sustainability of the project, make it independent of ourselves, and cover part of the costs invested in hosting and data processing, we will place advertisements on the site. When developing the solution, we learned a lot by watching various educational videos, we know how irritating an excessive number of advertisements can be. Therefore, we give our WORD that we will never place more than three advertisements on one page, we will never knowingly and intentionally use tools to disable ad blockers, or pop-up windows for advertising. We will never be an extension of retailers, we will not charge them directly for advertising, we cannot guarantee that one of the big IT brothers will not show you their advertising, but we want customers-consumers to have a decent tool for searching for the best prices, creating shopping lists and controlling costs.
Please do not be harsh on us if you encounter errors. We invest significant effort in processing the catalog, converting it into a searchable format (OCR, converting images to characters-text).
We approach the collection and processing of data very carefully and responsibly, but errors are always possible, which we ourselves find in the sources, therefore we are not responsible for any errors in the data.
We will write more in other sections available at the footer of the page.
Respect!
